high quality membrane for permanent structures
VELAFLON polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated fibreglass fabric provides a long term, high quality solution for permanent structures and can be used in a tensioned or pneumatic capacity. The fibre glass fabric is available in a range of colours and large range of tensile strengths.
Ideally suited for large span projects requiring long life expectancy such as stadia or shopping malls, fabrics are available with a varying degree of light translucency and up to as much as 40%. Light is dispensed evenly therefore providing an ideal interior environment for sporting events and public places. The highly reflective coating enables dramatic lighting effects externally but also returns evenly diffused light internally allowing reduced energy consumption during use of the structure day or night.
VELAFLON PTFE coated fibre glass is UV resistant and is chemically inert withstanding temperatures from minus 73°C to plus 260 °C. It is therefore exceptionally resistant to staining and is naturally self-cleaning with rain or alternatively occasional rinsing. Virtually maintenance free, VELAFLON provides a long term cost effective solution and remains looking great for many years of service with a life span exceeding 25 years.
